Virgin Atlantic has appointed Oliver Byers as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Byers receives the promotion following his key role in securing new investment for the solvent recapitalisation of the carrier in September.

Byers brings more than 10 years’ of commercial aviation industry experience

He brings more than 10 years’ experience in the commercial aviation industry having previously held leadership roles including senior vice president revenue management, chief of staff and senior vice president global sales and loyalty at Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Group, respectively.
